Pet Peeve No. 7 Politicians with no money
Politicans with no money or financial war chests in the millions usually have no change. I don't care, becasuse I will vote on principal, not popularity.
Why I'm supporting Ron Paul.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
He was against taking 600 million from funding the war in Afghanastan to fund operations in Iraq.
Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.
He believes in the principles of the Constitution
He believes in a strong national defense and military
He questions why we are building large bases in Iraq, yet can take care of our wounder soldiers at Walter Reed?
He wants to abolish the IRS.
The clowns and big business puppets (Clinton, Obama, McCain, Romney, and Guiliani) will raise your taxes, take your guns, take your rights, and sell you down the river to line their political pockets. Enough is enough.
