Christmas shopping blows. Everything about it. The lines, the traffic, the prices, the sheer madness of each and every store. I've been doing it for some time, and I can't enjoy it. Although the smell of roasted almonds makes me smile. As for gifts, there must be something in my wiring that makes never happy with a gift I purchase someone - whether it is creative or functional...I'm just not happy about it. Why is that???
That mall massacre in Omaha last week- solution: carry guns. It's going to happen again and again people. Let's get real here.
I've concluded that every woman looks good in either a hat, scarf, or boots. A combo of any is great. A trifecta is worth a marriage proposal on the spot.
Now this is the dumbest thing I've heard from the NHL in at least a few weeks:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMP_NHL_Winter_Classic. Are you kidding me? You are doing this on the day everyone is watching college football? Hello? Gary Bettman has now been commissioner of the fledgling NHL for 15 years now. The league sucks. Time for a Canadian commissioner, or me.
Playing hockey with the guys on Saturday is not what it used to be. I need need need to get back in shape. I have no legs, and it's pissing me off. My head is telling me one thing, my body aint listening. It's like my body is a woman!
I can't believe I am getting attacked for liking Ron Paul. Are you freaking kidding me? He has to be the only candidate of both parties with a clean voting record, and defends the Constitution. The only one who has not swayed from his principle or road the coat tails of special interest groups. You may not like the guy, or like what he stands for...but just admit if that is the case, you are a socialist. It's really that simple. You are free to feel that way, but I will fight you over it. Long live liberty!
So I ask a question about the meaning of life and get no responses. I post a bulletin on myspace asking for slang terms for breasts and I get 112 emails. It warms my heart to know our priorities are straight...and perky.
Who's a member of the Council on Foreign Relations? Dick Cheney, John Edwards, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter....interesting bedfellows no?
The best talk show host on radio is Mike Church. Catch him if you can, you'll learn something. Those that do not learn from history are destined to repeat it. Repeat it.
Jon Kitna is someone I refer to as a 2 cent head.
Who the heck is Josh Groban? I'm not getting it.
Larry King is a muppet - don't tell anyone.
What do I like about snow? I like snow forts, snowballs, snowflakes, and sledding. That's it. It's white and pretty, but so am I. Get over it. Don't even tell me you like the snow you liar.
I've been inspired recently to learn the guitar. Music has been absent for the last 2 years in my life, but now I'm rekindling my soul and delving into those sounds that touch me and move me. My creative juices are flowing again, and this time I'm not stopping. If you have any new music artists you think are worth a listen, let me know. I'm always searching for the next cool thing...like Paolo Nutini.
I'm still not in the Christmas spirit. Decorations, music, snow, gifts...it's not hitting me. Maybe it will soon but I'm not so sure. It may take till Christmas morning. You're a mean one Mr. Grinch, you've got termites in your smile.
I need the NFL Network. Do you understand me? I need it now.
I have at least one cup of green tea per day. Better than coffee or donuts.
My dog talks in her sleep.
I don't care who the next Michigan football head coach is. Anyone is better than Carr, yet I know the same people who hired him and supported him will hire the next guy...which doesn't give me any confidence.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people still adore Kurt Cobain...he was overrated as hell. That over produced genre called grunge is an embarrassment to the history of rock and roll. A decade I'll easily forget.
Honor...trust...code...loyalty. Are these not the things friendships are made of? It depends on the degree of friendship, tactfulness, and overlapping relationships with others I suppose. Thus the instant drama that can prevail when word of anything gets out. Who do you trust? What do you say? What is a secret? What is gossip? What is a matter of fact? Complications of life, it is, it is, it is. Some people think you are closer to them, then you think you are and inevitably that leads to problems. Do you understand what I'm talking about?
Hey Cas, break a leg you bastard.
Pick Me.
