The state of Michigan is supposed to start shutting government services down. Aside from the fact this really effects many employees of the government, I must say - SO BE IT. Shut it down. This liberal state supported by tax and spend liberals has finally reached rock bottom. All you idiots who voted for your democratic state senators, your liberal Canadian governor - you get what you deserve. Now the problem is that I DON'T DESERVE THIS. What are you going to do to fix it? Are you willing to shell out more money, or are you going to make a stand? GET MAD PEOPLE - DO SOMETHING. Those of you that don't care, well you know what...get out of my face. You should care. If you had more money in your pocket you could enjoy all the things you love and then some. This is so simple, yet somewhere along the line you became fat and lazy. You became a sloth. You got all entangled in watching ER, or Survivor. You live to watch award shows, yet have no idea the government wants to put a tax on junk food. You are the problem, and you are to blame. You will pass on your laziness and stupidity to your children. It will never end. Make a stand. So what if your candidate isn't someone that will probably win, because Tim Russert does not talk about him. SO WHAT! Do the right thing, and vote on principle. You really piss me off.

The governor of Michigan's husband gets paid $85,000 a year. He does nothing. Jenny is just waiting to be on Hillarys cabinet now. Considering she's done nothing but run this state into the ground, she'd be perfect working for that hosebeast. Together they can run our country into the ground. She now along with state democrats want to raise our taxes or else some state government services may shut down. LET THEM SHUT DOWN!

Michigan's unemployment rate is 7.4%. The national average is 4%. Detrtoit is at 8%. Go buy a car please.

Yes that was me who predicted the Cleveland Indians would win the AL Central. Thank you. I am not proud of this prediction. I have no more comments on the Tigers, and their management that let us down by doing nothing at the trade deadline and continually resting star players when we needed wins.

Friends of mine are all excited that the new season of tv shows are about to happen. They talk and I just listen. I don't know what to say, because if I did, it wouldnt be good. I just don't care anymore. These shows may be good, but so what?! Looking forward to them is a waste of my time. You can watch them on tivo or you can get a season on DVD if you want. Heck, if you just listen to coworkers or the radio, you know the entire season anyways. People stop being sheople, tv aint worth it the way you think it is. Free your mind. Entertainment is such a part of everyone's lives, it clouds real things.

Ok the one thing I do like about fall is cider mills. Well not so much, but fresh apple pie or a caramel apple - yes please!

Driving past the lake the other day I looked across to the trees and I saw some color! Ugh! That means fall is almost here. How depressing. The fringe of the maple leaves are getting a red and yellowish tint already. Someone shoot me now.

1500 people paid $2300 each to see Obama the tool at Oprah's place. Why do you women listen to what she has to say as if she is some sort of prophet? It is baffling to me. People give it up. The fact alone that she supports Obama makes me not want to even look at the guy, let alone the fact he is a socialist moron. Rise up and fight this crap!

Was I asleep in 98? I missed the concert for Liberia that Pavarotti put on with a bunch of pop artists. I was looking at some of the videos on youtube after Pavarotti's death. I must say they all sucked. Mixing pop with Opera does not work. There was however one song that I though worked - that was when Bono sang Miserere . Who were more hats Bono or me??? I don't listen to opera, but when I hear Pavarotti or Bocelli...it takes me back to Sunday mornings with the aroma of the sauce in the house as my mother prepared Sunday dinner. The sweet smell of home.

Michigan football...not much more to say on this. I knew this was coming. So much for a pleasant diversion during fall. ugh! Don't even get me going on the Tigers. Leyland is really bugging me lately.

Why do local car salesmen shout on their tv commercials? What's the point? Don't they realize these commercials are lame. Or is that the point? I find them most annoying, so much so I wouldn't use their services. I want creativity, fun, and honest. Not some hyped up loud obnoxious commercial that scares me.

They won't fire him because they are like a mini-government. There is so much politics and he is so well connected, that even if he steps down or is "fired", he'll have a say who gets the gig next. They are too big for their own good.

Michigan will always have a following and always sell tickets. They will always make Bowl games more seasons than not because of the prestige that goes with the school and their history. Their recruiting machine is pretty darn good...but last Saturday will hurt them.

I'm talking X's an O's...he is horrible. Cases in point: every friggin bowl game, Ball State last year, the Ohio State Games and last Saturday - UNACCEPTABLE. With the talent they have, to play like they do...come on! They sit back and play prevent defense even when they are losing.

This is way worse then CMU beating MSU twice. Next to the 1980 Olympic Hockey team, this is the biggest upset in sports history.

Their alumni, their boosters, the athletic department are to blame here. He is not a good coach, and his defensive systems have never ever stopped a running QB ( i.e Vince Young Texas or OSU).

Is Michigan about winning or is Michigan about being succesful? I think we know the answer. In that regard, they are the same as the Lions.

Dino, Dino, Dino, they've been a top 25 until this week for years, 3 of the last 4 BCS bowls, they fill the stadium every game with a bunch of laid back lameo fans, there is never a hint of recruiting scandal, when there is a bad guy Carr takes care of it. If he wants he could probably stay another two seasons, unless he does something stupid like Moeller did, they will never fire him.

I agree he's past his time, but to think they'll fire him is naive.

The only thing I care about is the experience, but what ruins the experience for me is when the players who are responsible for my rooting interest play with a lack of fundamentals and discipline. They also play selfishly for stats and don't make adjustments for the betterment of the team. I grew up believing that I was watching players who did the right thing for their team.

When baseball canceled the World Series, I divorced myself from the game. I did not watch any baseball for 3 years...I just didn't care and I was so mad. I then got the itch back to watch it...attend games...just for the game. I didn't care about salaries, free agent signings, arbitration...I ignored that. I'm not sure I totally agree with Issacs quote. Part of that arena in your head is emotional attachments to the play of those players. I love the way Pudge guns out a guy at third base, but I could care less about him. That does not upset me. When I was young I loved the way Pete Rose played, that's who I think about - not the moron who gambled his life away.

I don't love the owners, I don't love the players...I love the games. More as I watch the games and see players conversing during the games I can't help but think how they are just going through the motions of entertaining us. Where's the competition?

This is were I am at right now. Over the last year sports has started to become annoying. I can't take the lack of integrity, stupidity, arrogance, entitlement, immaturity, and selfishness that is so prevalent right now. If you aren't cynical about sports you are just plain stupid. I love to play the games and always will, but I'm starting to think that it doesn't make any sense to emotionally or financially invest myself in individuals who for the most part I don't respect as people.

Lloyd Carr must go. It really is that simple.

Losing to OSU constantly, as well as showing horrible performances in bowl games...and now this. Getting upset (although that's debatable) by Appalachian State! This marks the first time a ranked team has lost to a FCS (Div. 1-AA) team EVER in the history of college football.

He gets out coached left and right. Carr would be out coached by the St. Mary's School for Blind Girls...the same school the Buckeyes go to get laid.

You'll see MSU improve greatly, and you will see OSU continue to dominate even in a supposed down year for them. You think the OSU is happy about this? Sure they'll laugh...but they want Michigan to go undefeated - that's what they live for. That can't happen now. You think ND cares? Oregon will not be a cakewalk. They'll be lucky to win 6 games this year the way they are playing.

Their prevent defense was horrible! They were not prepared what so ever. The biggest upset in college football history losing to home to a lower division school!!! Chad Henne and Mike Hart skip the NFL and come back for their senior season to win a national championship and that dream is over the first week of the season. The Lloyd Carr era is OVER

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!!?! Yes, with CARR at the helm I can. He along with the arrogant alumni/boosters/athletic department who think they can win just because they are Michigan.

What does it take? If that university had any balls, it would fire him today. It is unacceptable.
