Drinking mom asks daughter, 9, to drive
An Ontario woman was charged with a traffic violation after having her nine-year-old daughter drive her home following a night of drinking. The child was driving the car slowly along country roads in southeastern Ontario on October 12 when police noticed how tiny she was and pulled her over, police said.

  1. I learned to drive that way. After stopping at the liquor store, and getting to drink part of dad's coke so he could put some Lord Calvert in it, he'd let me drive home.

    As horrible as that sounds, I wasn't as young as this kid and the road was pretty much deserted all the way home. DWI wasn't as bad (legally) then as it is now, usually about a 25 dollar fine.

    It's a wonder any bars are still open, y'know? I'd say 95% of people leaving a drinking establishment are legally drunk.

    yes, it is a borderline absurd to trust the government to teach and protect our children, but do you think this Ontario woman would do a better job teaching and protecting her own daughter?

    my point some parents are not allowed to be parents. everyone has a right to be stupid at their own risk, but there is no such right if children are involved.
