I listen to talk radio on my way in to work and my way home. I have a thirst to be informed. Not that what people say is all that interesting, but it gets me thinking. (Don't worry Browndog, I listen to music during the day).
I am amazed, but not surprised by the lack of thinking from people calling in about the bailout. Today I heard that the government should force all Americans to buy American cars. Then I hard someone say that the government should close all the foreign car factories and make them leave the country. Then I heard we should not import at all, only export.
Are these people for real? Yeah they must be. These are the people that elect a congressman like Shelby who practically gave away his land in his state to Mercedes. Hypocrisy run amuck. Yeah I'm talking about the congress who can't balance a budget, who couldnt run a company on their own and who blasted the CEO's of the big three.
The CEO's should be blasted for the mess they are in no doubt. But to be blasted by a bunch of incompetant congressman who have handcuffed those companies to begin with is absurd. What a mockrey really.

Don't even get me started on the stupidity of US car buyers. They are, after all, the ones who say a 3 mpg travel trailer would be a PERFECT retirement home.
