
Truth: Red Meat

I love a good steak....a good bar burger...a nice meatball. However they do not like me. When I eat red meat, I feel like hell after. I'm sluggish, irritated, and just feel horrible. I don't get this way eating any other kind of meat or fish, just beef. Some people say it's the fact I don't have certain enzymes to digest that. Other say just to stay away and that it's my body rejecting it. I don't buy red meat, but I'm often at places that serve it...and stupidly I don't think about it until after I eat it. I've also heard that wheat fed beef could be the culprit. Anyone else have these problems?
