Truth: Taking The Class

Some catalog came across my desk for training and seminars. Most of the time I don't look at this stuff. I could care less. The other day though, my friend said I should teach a class on how to tick people off, or how to create anger. While I was deeply touched by his suggestion, I have no interest in sharing my quirks or habits. Not with the way teachers get paid...no way!

Anyways I'm checking out this catalog and I cannot believe some of the classes/seminars that people actually pay for. What a friggin scam!

Managing Emotions in the Workplace

- are you freaking kidding me?

Developing Your Emotional Intelligence

- why so you can run on the habi-trail faster?

Projecting a Positive Professional Image

- How about just washing your freaking hands after using the rest room? That's all I ask.

- Emotional and Intelligence rarely go hand in hand folks

Now I'm sure there's an element of good from each of these. But for Pete's sake...who the heck comes up with these ideas? Are there crazy psychologists (oxymoron I know) looking to delve in to the world of teaching? Who creates these classes.

Come to think of it...I may just do this. Come up with some important sounding class, and make a go of it.
