Hypocrite and Politician - those two words pretty much mean the same thing. An oxy moron to say the least.
It baffles me how anyone can take congress seriously for blasting the oil executives. They sit there and throw out these buzz words and catch phrases in hopes of making the latest youtube circuit. Obviously to stroke their egos, get some votes, and add to the illusion that they are doing something for their districts.
Give me a break.
Hey Congress no one really takes what you say seriously except your staff, your family, and the media who have nothing better to do but to give you lip service. Actually the lobbyists take you seriously when they buy your campaigns and fill your pockets; while you "unknowingly" profit off of stock trading.
BP isn't the problem for the oil spill. You are!. You allowed this. You let them drill without safeguards in place. You sleep with them and turn an eye the dangers of their business until it's too late. In fact, you aren't much different than the guy in the Whitehorse who has no ability to lead or take control of a situation.
So when congress rips on Wall Street, the Auto Industry, and the Oil executives can we really take those questions seriously? In fact how can we take them seriously when they parade Kevin Costner out to talk about his solutions to the oil spill (As if BP wouldn't know this?).
I am not defending BP in this mess. They are as equal to blame. But for congress to blast anyone, give me a friggin break!
Part of the fuel for the Tea Party movement is the disdain the public has for congress. Please don't forget the majority of people who hate politics all together for the very same reasons.
My friend Cas the one legged long haired hippy Pirate always tells me how we need to get rid of them all and start from scratch. That it's the only way.
He's right.
