Chicks: Bucket For A Crown

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. With the Royal Wedding, I was interested to see all the commentary from so many people that really loved it, and really hated it. Those that love it just love the pop culture aspect of it. Of course they are the ones that like all the pomp and circumstance.

Those that hate the event, are against the monarchy, feel watching war and killing is far better on the news than a story of love and hope. I'm not a fan of the monarchy, yet I do respect the history of it. Since I'm a knight, I kind of get it. I also understand how much money this brings to the British Empire and I see why they won't give it up. It's entertainment, not much different than any other false god worshipping going on in the world (i.e. sports teams). Capitalism is grand. Not sure why Princess chose him over me either.

Some comments from friends:
-like I said before, it's a little girls fairy tale. The Prince, the castle the whole kit and koboodle. I've been watching the royal family for 30 years when Princess Diana and Prince Charles were married

- I do like all the fashion and the carriage rides and glam. I think I heard last royal wedding was 30 yrs ago with Di and Charles.Admire the romantic in William..and the love and respect he has remembering Diana

-isn't it nice to get away from world problems.. wars, killing, gas prices, nuclear fallout... let there be a little fantasy... Yes.. A Royal Wedding.. Long Live The Queen

-Never met either of the royal couple, or anyone in the royal family. I've never done tequila shots, or had a conversation with any of them, and I definitely wasn't invited to the bachelor party! So Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn!

-I care and I think it's wonderful!! His mother was a woman who changed the face of the monarchy and being CANADIAN it is part of my heritage. I think they are a lovely couple, poised, educated and will live a life of service and there is NO higher calling. This is a historic event and for the first time in history a Royal is able to marry a commoner.

-Don't care, because I am not British. So, I do share something in common with European Socialists/Communists (don't care about the wedding).

Princess, you will regret the day you left me for him. Be happy with that tool you chose over me. Dreams, promises, your words...did they not mean anything to you? Your fear of happily ever after was just that. I loved you unconditionally. I will love you from afar and hope you find comfort from fear in your life. Be well Princess.

"I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough."
