Some truths about Innies:
They analyze situations. They look at how things could be, how they should be, and how they can be, and it is all processes within seconds of the experience...sometimes during. Like when I'm watching a movie, I'm thinking all of those things during any given scene.
They have a close group of friends. They need to engage and trust, and for that to happen requires time. Over time, only a handful of people can meet those needs. That doesn't make them too popular on that level.
They daydream alot. Yes I do. Hours on end.
They are loyal. Yes, they want a mate they can connect and share everything with exclusively. I'm told this is a good thing, but it hasn't really worked out so far. Chicks. [Oh yeah and they are great lovers].
They are creative. Many and most innies are painters, artists, musicians, writers, poets, scientists, and philosophers. In other words, not very successful, because they aren't wired like the majority. However they do stand out.
They could care less about small talk. Get to the point Alice.
They are very quiet in meetings. Because we are soaking it all in, and realize talking would delay any progress.
They don't belong to any cliques. They belong to many groups and find interests in many groups and people.
They usually can hang with the jocks, the nerds, the burnouts, and the preppies and fit right in.
They are aloof. It's true people think we don't care. It's just that we aren't swayed by the latest fashion concepts, or trends. Yeah I wear socks with sandals, so what? They (we) are thinking how we can make those trends better or create our own. Blacksheep? Perhaps.
They are approachable. They may seem shy and bashful, or even nervous. The truth is, they are very approachable and just want to engage with good hearted and well spirited people with depth. Knowing that isn't always the case, there's no desire to hug every tree.
They will nod their head or smile more than exchange greetings. It's quicker and not a waste of time.
They stress out - No more than extroverts. It's just that the timing is different. We worry about driving home drunk, while an extrovert is worried which Taco Bell drive thru is open.
They are not pragmatists. They do not believe the ends justify the means. Unless it is self defense, I wholeheartedly agree.
They don't like to be the center of attention. This is true. I know with having a blog, vlog, twitter, Facebook that it would appear I want to be the man, but the truth is I don't. I like connecting people with each other, but more so I'm an idealist. I want to discuss concepts and ideas, philosophy of life and life. I've pegged my philosophy into these four square pegs: Truth, Sports, Liberty, and Chicks.
