Chicks: Giving Up Chicks

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. My friend Pete has given up chicks. No he isn't gay, but he is just too frustrated at dating. And no, my friend Pete is not me. It really is him. Yes he knows I'm writing about him too.

Pete says it is just too frustrating to date chicks anymore. He said the baggage they bring at this age (40) is just too much. He readily admits he has baggage too, because when you are in your 30's and 40's you've lived a little. However and I agree with him, he doesn't bring the baggage with him out in the open.

He said he's sick and tired of going out on dates and hearing chicks complain about their ex's past and present behavior. Not it could just be a string of bad luck, or this could always be the case. I have no comment.

He said to me to just look at Facebook and see all the people bitching and complaining about their ex's. He has a point as I see it all of the time. I have no comment.

I don't know are men really different from women in this regard or is he just running into a string of bad luck. 5 years of dating and he can't catch a break. I don't like those odds.

So he said he is giving up dating and he's just going to focus on making money and having a boat. Then filtering out the chicks who want him for his money and boat. The dude can't win. Violins I know.
