It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Why do I take pictures of my food do you ask? Well despite it being probably the second most annoying thing people take pictures of online, I do have a reason. A few reasons.
What wait, the second most annoying? Yes, the first being self portraits taken in the car or bathroom with a camera phone. Most annoying! So despite the resistant and backlash of foot shots, I still march on. I press on. I carry on. Food is art. Even if you aren't a foodie, it is art. I am starting to retrain my brain into thinking I just need food for energy, rather than loving it so much too.
Yet still, each creation, each evolution of a plate of food is a one of a kind conglomeration of cells that will never be duplicated. That's right those combination of cells that you are looking at will only be in existence just that one time in the history of the world. So I snap a shot of it before it goes bye bye pass the gums, look out tummy here it comes.
So all you food haters, you'd make the world a better place not hating so much. You'd make the world a better place with some more love. Don't hate the eater. Don't hate the chef. Don't hate the waist or waste. Take a picture and increase the aesthetics of your life. That point of time, when that sustaining creation existed before it became a mouthful of fun.
Food it is just not for dinner. When you sit down to eat, just look at that hot mess. Just look at it and stare. Look at all of those wonderful cells all molded and evolved into a mesh of wonderful (Liver and headcheese excluded) energetic taste.
So beautiful.....I might just cry a little.
