Truth - Useless Useless

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. News, music, conversation, texts, email, memos, brochures, television, radio, rss, Internet, advertising, commercials, books, mail, notifications...the list seems to be never ending. It's a never ending list of information. Some good, some bad, perhaps most useless. Most, just busy time when you think about it.

I suffer from "need to know' syndrome. Not where I need to know everything about everything. However when there is something I want to know, I go crazy trying to figure out and get info. I'm a research hound on anything that interests me or catches my eye. I like shiny objects too.

The other day I was thinking about Gregory Peck the actor. So I had to look at his list of movies. Totally dumb, and there was no reason for it. Waste of time, and useless information gathered. Gregory Peck? Who cares! Weird.

Baseball stats...voting records...movie history...music discography. Useless knowledge fills my brain. Ok so I'm good on Jeopardy or other trivia games. So what? They say knowledge is power, but what power do I have knowing about Atticus Finch or Honus Wagner? I do not know. Winning trivia helps pass the time. Useless.

I need a filter on my brain. I'm pretty good though when people talk to me about things I care nothing about. I easily filter them off. I have no room for babble or non-think talk. That's easy. Now I just need to figure out an email, text, Internet, and visual filter so I can the info I really need. Not the tangent and whims I so easily succumb to. I think I suck. Wait am I really thinking about that?

Sounds familiar....says the woman who spent 2 hours on Google because someone said, "What's that guys name from that TV show...".
