It was the best of times it was the worst of times. People's idea of what is fun obviously varies. It is just the way it is. There are some things though that just boggle my mind. I am not sure if it is because I am a snob or what.
For example people can have fun just sitting on their porch for hours drinking beer. They can have fun going to Cracker Barrell and spending an hour in their candy store. They can have fun watching other people play poker. They can have fun playing toss a cross for hours on end. Is that wrong? No...just odd to me.
Yes I know having fun is a choice. Ultimately you can have fun doing anything if you want. My deal is I just don't understand the things people accept. A guy I know gets pedicures and manicures, then brags about not liking baseball. That is his fun.
In my daily search for fun, I find it harder and harder to find great fun things to do. What are fun things to do that dont require spending money? Hard to do I bet. Hard to find. I am still looking.
I envy the people despite the weirdness of their choices, who can have fun doing anything. I am not there yet. I come across as an ogre because of it. In other words, a green ogre with envy.
