Truth: We Need To

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

We need to be on the same page.

We need to talk the same lingo.

We need to have an understanding.

We need to have a come to Jesus meeting.

We need to be on the same wave length.

We need to be good to go.

We need to be in sync.

We need to be on a roll together.

We need to be under the same umbrella.

We need to be hooked up.

We need to be jiving, bro.

We need to be in lock step.

We need to be two peas in a pod.

We need to be birds of a feather.

We need to be locked in.

We need to be a team.

We need to be united.

We need to be a united front.

We need to be one.

We need to be together.

We need to stick it through thick and thin.

We need to hunker down.

We need to get er done.

We need to roll with the punches.

We need to be in solidarity

We need to be in cahoots.

When you come to think of it, we sure do need to do alot together don't we?  I always weary when people use the word WE.  I'm never sure if I should be included or even want to be.  We be crazy.

Truth - The Speed Need

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  I feel the need, the need for speed.  I've gotten one speeding ticket in my life.  I was turning out of a subdivision and I was trying to get ahead of the quickly approaching traffic.  It was a 35 mph zone, I was going 45.  Some cop was sitting there just waiting for a speeder.  Sure enough, he nailed me. I think it ended up being $60 or so....but that was 14 years ago.

I didn't really notice I was speeding either because I punched it to move up and not get rear ended. I didn't fight it because it was true. It still ticked me off, since I can't stand tickets of any kind. I think they are just statist money grabs meant to keep officials and services types in their jobs.  But hey, that's the system...whatever.

So it always makes me wonder...Wouldn't it be cool to have stretches of freeway, that were listed as Any Speed Zones?  You would veer off on this stretch and you could go as fast as you want...as long as the person in front of you was a mile ahead, and the person behind you was a mile behind.  Let's say 10 miles of just pure rock and roll pedal to the medal speed.

Now who wouldn't do that, or take advantage of it?  Think about the amount of fuel being used.  Think about the increased wear and tear on cars.  Think about the amount of time people would save by getting somewhere quicker.  Now that's productive.  It would certainly bolster the economy and anything auto services related.

What's that you say?  More death, injury, higher insurance claims?

Oh.

Dear Hockeydino 32912

Dear Hockeydino,
Just because I'm calling you dear, don't get the wrong idea big boy. I'm straighter than arrow.  The other day my friends and I were sitting around eating lunch.  We were at the mall, and could see all the women walk by while we ate.  In the hour we had lunch, we did not see one woman wearing a dress or skirt.  Not one.  Everyone was wearing jeans or pants.

We were disappointed because it would be nice to see a dress or skirt once in a while. It seems either we are too old, or we just have to attend more weddings and funerals to see them.  So, this really isn't me asking you for advice on what to do. It is more of me hoping you will ask the women of your site why they aren't wearing dresses or skirts any more?

Thanks bro,

Legless in Seattle

Dear Legless,
I mean dear affectionately of course, not that there's anything wrong with that.  Dude I'm with you and your friends. I don't know what's going on anymore.  First they vote, then they drive, now this. What's next...they will start talking sports?  It's a mad mad mad mad mad mad world after all. I could put the word out I guess, but women don't listen to me, they just smirk.  I guess it will depend on some fashion trend to change or something.  These skirt less women are not making the world a better place.  If they did wear them more, then guys would be happier, and if guys are happy so are women.  See how that vicious cycle works?

My work is never done.  Never.

Liberty: No Peace No Justice

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  I heard some ranting looney toon on the radio yelling "injustice for one is injustice for all!".

Yeah? Wow...how profound.  So this ranting loon complaining that no justice has been served over the that kid in Florida who got shot has to state this.  Here's the deal DUDE.  You don't know what happened, you weren't there.  The full story isn't out.  The investigation isn't complete, and yet you are trying to sway the media, and the populous to listen to you.   Why?  You have your conjecture based on what you think happened, and what some reverends (who are usually wrong about these sort of things) are preaching.

What if..what if..what if...it turns out you are completely wrong, and the case does not turn out to be what you think it is.  They find out after all that the idiot who shot him was only acting in self defense.  Would you then yell that justice has been served?  Would your reverends preach how wonderful that the justice system worked?

Hell no.

Because then your story would make no sense.  Because then your rants will become empty.  Because then your reverends will have nothing to complain about since there is no boogey man to complain against.

The real injustice is protesting, and not letting due process take its course. Trying to influence the media, the cops, the judges, the lawyers is all you are doing.  Granted, when you do that it tends to make things happen in your favor i.e. OJ and Casey Anthony.  So if you are trying to do that, its working.  Especially since the mainstream media loves to embellish against the truth.  If you want to raise awareness for such things...then it may be prudent to have a different taxt.  Awareness is good...but don't blow it.

People cry foul when something may have happened; yet when something like their rights be trampled on occur they are more quiet than a church mouse.  It just doesn't make a whole lotta sense.

No peace, no justice.

Truth - Opposite Complaints

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. We've become a world of everything.  Everyone is not politically correct, or they are too politically correct.  Everyone works too hard, or everyone is too lazy.  Everyone eats too much, or they eat the wrong stuff.  Everyone is either too fat and obese or they are too thin.  Everyone is too stupid or they are too smart.  Everyone is too positive or they are too negative.  Everyone is liberal or everyone is conservative.  Everyone is this and that.  You name it, there is an alternative.

Think about it. For every ying there is a yang.  No matter the story, there is always another 180 degree opposite with equal acclaim or critique thrown its way. So that just leads me to believe a couple of things.  One, there is too much time on every one's hands to actually notice these differences [ignore the concept of this blog please so you don't hurt my feelings]; or everyone just likes to complain, complain, complain [again ignore the concept of this blog please so you don't hurt my feelings].

It is as if there are wacko shrinks walking around at every turn dissecting the behaviors of people, their actions and routines, and also their cultural differences.  Throw in the trends of pop culture, current events, and the shared routine of the daily grind and you have just a menagerie of commentary from all walks of life. There's life, then there is talking about life and figuring it out.

You know when you take pictures and videos of things often, you tend to lose the moment.  The actual video or picture takes away from the experience while at the same time preserving it.  The same thing happens when you discuss or write about life - you aren't experiencing it as much as you fully can if you have to record it. Even discussing it is a form of past punishment.  Sure you learn from the past, but if are reliving it, even in retrospect or discovery, it is still taking up time to something else.  Time away from adventures, discoveries, productivity.  It has its value, just like picture taking; yet the paradox of it all is that there is a bit of wheel spinning going on by it.  What's really the point of complaining or pointing out the opposite?  Does there always have to be another point of view?  Does the devils advocate have to show up at every freaking event?

There are times I long for choice and the spice of life.  Then there are times I just wish it would be much more simple.

Truth: Ok To Hate

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  The word HATE is probably more used than the word LOVE.  The word HATE is used all of the time.  We hear about it all day long:

I hate broccoli. I hate terrorists. I hate liberals. I hate neocons. I hate tattoos. I hate smoking. I hate haters. I hate racists. I hate hate. I hate reality TV. I hate being late. I hate people that chew gum. I hate rap music. I hate country music. I hate the French. I hate cats. I hate bullies. I hate snow. I hate jerks. I hate eggs. I hate pop. I hate lazy people. I hate politicians. I hate the Yankees. I hate the Penguins. I hate the Red Sox. I hate the Vikings. I hate Ohio State. I hate Notre Dame. I hate communists. I hate protesters. I hate bankers. I hate CNN. I hate the mainstream media. I hate getting sick. I hate meetings. I hate imported cars. I hate unions. I hate the elitists. I hate the statists. I hate hate hate hate hate  etc.

So with all of this hating, is there any wonder there's alot of "hate' in the world?  Do you have to hate?  Can't you just ignore, or identify with another word?  I'm guilty of it...then again I am not saying it is wrong.  I'm trying to prove the point that people say you should not hate and you should be positive.  Well yeah I get that but to say you hate something...well I don't know if one is trying to embellish the disdain of something or someone, or do they really HATE.

It also makes people accept hate, or it makes them numb to it because it becomes to common place.  When I was little we could not say STUPID.  That was a bad word.  Now, it's used to much it defines more than what is just stupid.  Love, hate, stupid...take on extended roles than their original meetings.  Context is key of course, but when it becomes commonplace...watch out.

Tough call.  Again I think the word is over used, so much so we get a blur between good and evil.  You hate Osama Bin Laden and you hate broccoli.  Kinda makes broccoli worse than it really is, and it lessens Bin Laden to a horrible tasting vegetable.

Let's use the word hate for evil things, like murder, Bin Laden, Ohio State, taxes...but not for things such as broccoli or being late.  Thing of something else to say.

I hate to say it, but don't be a hater.

Truth - Photo Freak

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  They say nothing lasts forever.  What is celebrated though are things that do last a very long time. Things such as buildings, points of interest, landmarks, vehicles, clothing, furniture, collectibles.  There's a whole laundry list of items that last a very long time.

So we celebrate things that last forever; for the most part. The Washington monument for example has been around for a very long time. People flock to see it everyday. However the homeless dude who made the sand castle version at the beach gets a blip on the radar screen of history.

There is beauty in things that do no last forever. People ask me why I take pictures of food. I take pictures of food because you will never ever see that form of cells in that exact sequence again.  Like a person exists, that form of food will never ever exist again.  Why not preserve it?  Ever take a picture of the ocean? Those waves are gone forever that you took.  Take a picture of some waves, and preserve its history.

Things change all of the time, and mostly they go away into forever never to be seen or heard from again. I have 50,000 photos taken in the last 8 years. That comes to about 17 photos a day.  Is that really alot? Not in the digital world.  Professionals do way more than that...even amateurs who are picture happy take more.  Nevertheless, I like to preserve things, and I know that that sequence of events, or structure will never ever happen again.

I take solace in knowing that.

I do know that experiencing things are more important than photographs.  I'm not saying it is just as important. I'm just saying take a picture, you may have something that no one has ever seen before or ever will again.

Liberty - God Is Gay

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I posed a question the other day on Facebook if anyone had a problem with gay marriage or gay couples adopting children. Most people did not, and some did.  There were many who, as usual refuse to post their ideas but will have no problem emailing me offline about it.

One person, "chicky Lala" said that the issue isn't if gay marriage should be allowed; it is, should the question even have to be asked.  I thought that was the most telling and thought provocative answer that fit best. It was simple and to the point.  That logic can be used for many things.  That reminds of race. I never ever think about the race card until someone mentions it.  For example people in Detroit are up and arms about their city going into financial receivership.  Well when I think about that, race never enters my mind. Inevitably somebody will mention race as being the issue on this.  I know racism exists so I guess that's why it is an issue.  However if you stop making it an issue, then maybe it will go away?  Out of sound, out of mind...perhaps? Works for me.  Not ignoring racism, but ignoring race being an issue.  See how that works?

Anyways some of the responses were directed towards God loving everyone, no matter their color, sex, preference etc.  Some said God made man and woman and they should only marry and procreate.  People are going to believe what they want. I just find it hard that any God is going to criticize or not love someone who is gay.  It just doesn't make sense.  I don't get all the Santorum types who follow that stuff and think their God or their religion is going to not support gay marriages.  The only argument I see valid is the procreating aspect, but that's it....biology only in making babies - not caring for them.

I prefer the libertarian way - to each his own, as long as it doesn't infringe on my rights.  With all the gay married couples out there, has it effected your life for the worse? No of course not.  Let people be.  Leave them alone.  So what if they want to get married?  Consenting adults should have the right to choose and be free.  Lord knows our freedoms are dwindling by the day as it is.

Liberty: Clooney and Looney Talk

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  The other day I posted about George Clooney's plight to help stop the genocide in Sudan.  Essentially what I was saying is that not much will happen because of it.  I do hope it does, but I don't think it is in the interest of the U.S. government to care or do anything.  If his call to action can bring awareness, that is good...but not enough.  I was not bashing him for trying.  Just bashing the sadness of the reality of it all.  He has a mountain to climb.  Needless to say I got into a debate about it.  I thought I would share:

Smalls: The Sudan government is committing war crimes on their own people including rape, starvation, murder and lack of aid. The people are leaving their homes to hide in caves where they can be safe from government approved air raids targeting civilians. The president is wanted for genocide and war crimes. Almost 2 million people have died. You state a strong America makes for a better/stronger world and then you criticize someone trying to seek American assistance and promote awareness. If you were around in World War II, would you maintain your premise and support the idea of the US not getting involved- just letting the German government kill off all of the Jewish people instead? These people do not access to the aid that Americans have access too. People in Detroit- in our backyard- are killing each other. The Sudanese people are being killed by their own government. The President has to think globally because that is the truth of our existence – we are one of 195 countries in the world. I don’t want a government who forgets that…and good for GC for doing something. Most people just talk the talk and do nothing.

Hockey Dino: I'm not criticizing him for trying or wanting. He is doing good. It won't work though. The Nobel Peace Prize president doesn't care, or something would have been done by now. The Senate doesn't care. The House doesn't care. There's no oil or American interests involved....is probably why. When will be the next time the National news covers the Sudan? When Clooney visits again most likely. He's done this before and they don't listen. It's more important to bomb countries that haven't attacked us.

I am not against the U.S. govt getting involved in humanitarian efforts; in fact I wish it would do more of that. However the world is doing nothing either. The German analogy doesn't hold true here, since there's been genocide in many places and we've done NOTHING for them.

The president does not think globally unless you are referring to banking or adding others to central planning. Humanitarian things do not matter; else we'd be there since it has been 8 years of this. Where are the 193 other countries in this effort? Wouldn't it be great if the money used in Iraq or Afghanistan, or the 700 bases we have around the world were used for efforts such as saving the Sudan? That makes sense. Too many people though want war, socialism, and could care less about some country that barely gets mentioned on the news. If your president does something, I'll be the first to support him on this effort.

There's nothing most people can do. Govt won't and does not listen to the people. They know what is going on there for this long and have done NOTHING. George is right, but he's barking up the wrong tree. Unfortunately, there's only one tree in the forest.

Nantucket: My sentiments exactly HD..the same thoughts left my head as soon as I saw it. Let's fix our own problems right here at home and then reach a hand to other countries! The U.S. is always trying to "help" other Countries..I rarely see any other Country reaching out to help our homeless, hungry and poor. Oprah, George, and the rest of the Bleeding Hearts..Remember you were born in the USA…being promoted by the Television and Motion Picture Industry of Hollywood,CA. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. That's all I have to say about that.

Hockey Dino: I think you misunderstand might point Nantucket. I could care less about other countries helping us. The idea of a country is absurd to begin with; but since that is the case...it doesn't matter since we don't need help from others. Being born here is called luck, and you have to deal with the stupid laws and policies that idiots before you have made. The children of Sudan should get less attention because they aren't American? That's crazy. If the US can help...it should. When it comes to genocide, everyone should be a bleeding heart - life matters. Clooney is barking at the moon, and the US has other interests for many stupid and greedy reasons. The surrounding African countries should be helping...then again, they can barely help themselves it seems. The US is spread too thin in so many ways and for the wrong ways.

Many celebrities take on causes because it is good for their careers. Many take on liberal sides because they are bought and paid for or stupid. In this case, Clooney cant be faulted. The title of my blog is some what tongue in cheek...because he's not the problem; he just has no chance that I can see.

Lp: Now clooney has been arrested with others http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Clooney-Protests-Outside-Sudanese-Embassy-142923725.html?dr

Smalls: He is already gaining attention that Sudan never had...if all they get is more help, great. Maybe one day there will be political action but in the interim, those people need help and hope. I think there is a stereo type that rich people are only out for there careers...i applaud them for doing something meaning. Before we judge we should all take a look in the mirror and ask what WE are doing that matters. Nothing great...really great...ever happened overnight. T is every step that gets us closer to the goal. So i hope GC keeps up the great work of bringing awareness to a horrible situation.

Smalls: further more, i am not going to get too involved on the issue of global security, our military, and our bases except to say that our government does think globally every minute of every day. We have people who do nothing else but monitor world events. Genocide has happened in other places and you are right, we have not helped in all situations, but that is no reason we shouldn't be involved in any...your blog and your response contradict each other. People are the only force who have ever done anything...we can, have and could do something.

Hockey Dino: Our country is on the edge of financial ruin. We will go bankrupt funding useless wars that only benefit the military industrial complex. We keep borrowing money from china...it will be time to pay the piper soon. The unemployment rate does not get helped when we go to war, or give aid to other countries like Egypt and Pakistan.

Smalls: War has a positive effect on unemployment. In fact WWII was largely the reason the great depression ended. It creates jobs and provides money directly into the pockets of Americans. That being said, it is a huge financial drain on the economy at large, the effects of which are not fully felt by the average American. The positive out weighs the negative when it comes to the direct impact of war on an average person. You should read up on it, i find it quite interesting. There are some sites that would claim otherwise but i encourage u to check the sources and the authors stance on the issue, which could lead to bias reporting

Hockey Dino: WWII different ball game.

A World War III will not have people going to factories to build planes, guns, and tanks. Eisenhower warned us to never go to war for the sake of profit. He was right.
Monday at 8:04pm · Like

Smalls: I never said war was profitable, that was your rhetoric. To the guy I know, are you in there??? War and military conflict creates jobs. There is far more to running a military than just building planes, tanks and guns, although those things happen. Civilians run the grocery stores, banks, food establishments, salons, barbers shops, laundry facilities, Elementary, Jr. high and high schools, post offices, day cares, misc shops and more! Imagine an entire city in one post. The economy overall takes a huge dive, but the average American does not feel that except maybe in gas prices. I don’t think trying to save human life is “useless”. In fact I I think it is the best reason to engage in military action. If Americans want to take care of Americans first, they should stop talking about it and waiting for someone else to do it for them and START DOING SOMETHING. We have all of the resources we need without government assistance to solve most of our problems. The problem is while “Americans” are busy TALKING, they are also very selfish and when push comes to shove, they are willing to part with their money or do the real work it takes…

Hockey Dino: Manufacturing creates real jobs. We can't afford the military. The Iraq war is approaching a trillion dollars. The us military spends more than all other countries combined ....that's jacked.

Show me a military conflict that saves American lives.

If you want war ...declare a constitutional one...which hasn't happened since 1942.

We have less money with govt taking more and more.

Smalls: Occasionally I forget how liberal you are....maybe we should do as you say and cut the military cuz we can't afford it- then when China slips in a takes over, you can protect yourself. The US spends more because we are Americans and we fight for life. Is an American life worth more than a Canadian life? When did you get to decide it is ok to discriminate against human life based on someones race/heritage? People are people, and war does cause death- but for the benefit of countless other lives and a long term solution. That is what American soldiers sign up for- voluntarily. You are mixing so many issues into this conversation it is impossible to discuss t with you - good defense strategy though. If you want to stay on topic regarding the 2 million lives lost in Sudan and a push to get those people some assistance, email me.

Hockey Dino: Libertarian ....not liberal.

China won't invade us until we pay them back for all the money we borrowed from them to pay for war instead of helping the Sudanese.

Smalls: ok sure, because people never retaliate against others because they owe them money. i would love to see your libertarian society with no government, no policy, no military, no fire fighters etc when they actually have a choice if they want to contribute to military or police protection. Americans are selfish- they would never part with their money and this wonderful country would become a chaos. Clearly we can't even help those who need help now- imagine everyone having a choice. So my friends friend has child who went missing two days ago. no trace of him- young boy. Imagine trying to get help and your neighbors saying, sorry we can't part with our money to help the greater good. Find him yourself. You are so SMART and it drives me crazy how naive your stance is on these issues. Who would uphold your constitution when no one is left willing to part with their money?

Hockey Dino: I am a Libertarian ....not an anarchist. Pro choice on everything and pro free market. Limited govt.

You are the liberal wanting things by force. Doesn't sound like Jesus to me.

Let's raise taxes and create global welfare!

Smalls: lol, i am pretty far from a liberal. ( I actually DID laugh out loud) I want what is best for people, and history has shown individuals left alone will not make choices for the greater good but for their own individual gain. Terrorism would run ramped and we would begin to see our own little terrorist groups in our American communities. I think your blog was a PERFECT example of that. What do you think JESUS would think of your blog post? ( You went there first, not me. Although that is often the truth source for my political views. That being said, before you answer that Jesus would not want any type of law- you should probably do your homework because I will go nuts on you and I WILL win that debate hockey dino) The rest of this I have decided is hopeless to discuss with you. Here is a suggestion- Pray this every day for two weeks and let me know how you feel then "God, I am aware of the situation in Sudan and I am asking you to speak to my heart and mind about what position I should take and promote to my fellow Americans. Speak to my heart lord so I can hear what it is YOU would want me to do and help me to set aside my own prejudices so I can hear your will, Amen."

Hockey Dino: You are a neocon who wants liberty by force. I.e Iraq and Afghanistan.

Jesus prefers my world over what you support.
Pray for me

Smalls: Interesting, I don't recall discussing my views on Iraq or Afghanistan with you, but that was a clever way to change the subject. However I have a great story about my friend who saved a 5 year old girl who was stuck in a mine field in Afghanistan. If you ever want to talk about what really matters in life, I am game. You have no idea what I support because you refuse to really listen to what anyone else feels except yourself.

Hockey Dino: I know what you support.

How many people has your friend killed?

Smalls: ‎1. Really, test me. 2. None

Hockey Dino: You support a large military based on your words because you've fallen for the "war on terror" propaganda.

Your friend shouldn't be there, is the point. If he wasn't there, there would be no mine fields.

Truth: No Credit For You!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Imagine a world with no credit cards.  It's easy if you try.   What if you had no credit card, or charge cards and no debt?  People have always told me you that I want some sort of debt, that it is good for my credit rating, and good for tax purposes.

What?

Well I won't argue with the semantics of that, because I'm sure having good credit is what everyone wants.  I'm sure having a good credit rating is useful in order to get loans. It's essentially telling the lenders and banks, that you can be trusted to be given money.

Of course the people that were given credit and or charge cards were trusted to give money as well, and many are in debt well over their head.  In fact some are so underwater, the banks will never see much of their money.  So what happens then?  No one wins.  Credit history gets jacked.  The Banks loan out less.  There's less money to make the world go round.

So what would happen if everyone stopped using their credit cards.  Let's say they were all paid off.  What would the banks do to make money?  How would they make money on interest?  Well they'd raise interest rates for one on other type of loans (cars, boats, houses), but they would be hard pressed to get coin out of regular purchases.

I don't use a credit card. I haven't in years. I just use cash. If I don't have the coin, I'm not getting it.  Do I really need something if I can't pay for it? Well I might I am sure, but to this point it is working out.

I can see the economy either slowing down because no one will be buying large screen televisions.  With that being the case, television prices will drop because inventory will build up.  In that respect, the economy might kick in.

The whole buy on credit situation puts this weird cloud on the quasi-free market system we have. They need it, but we may not.  They force us to use it, but we do we really need it?

Cash is king. While the dollar isn't worth a whole lot, it sure beats being in debt because you have to have the latest clothes, flat screen, and net gadget.

Liberty: Something Ain't Right

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  My friend Doomsday Chris and I were chatting about the world and saving it etc....when another friend Maxiumus joined us for some grub.  Now Doomsday and I talk often about the system, working for the man, the way things are.  We are a couple of talking heads treading in a sea of crazy just like everyone else.  We like to hear ourselves talk and feel important.

Well out of nowhere Maxiumus says "Something isn't right in the world".  Doomsday and I look at each other in amazement because that's what we've been saying for about a year to each other.  A friend of Doomsday said the same thing to him recently too.

Nothing seems right in the world.  I can't place it. I can't figure it out.

Do you people feel the same way?  It's more than just politics I am talking about.  More than just wars. There is just this unsettling feeling. Last night another person that's in an online forum said the same thing to me.  She was asking questions, pretty much wondering why people were bashing the system and Obama; when there's something bigger at play.

Now I contend most people are too busy watching reality television, or playing mafia wars or angry birds from what I can tell.  Not that people should be worried or in a panic, or even feel paranoid.  It just seems those in tune with the news are on to something.

What? I have no idea.  Could just be the weather for all I know or some seismic shift in the atmosphere.  Heck if animals can sense danger, why can't humans if they are in tune to it?

I'm not scared, I'm perplexed. Nothing is making sense. Aside from this post, I am not dwelling on it or letting it get the best of me. However it still exists. I hope it goes away, soon.

There is a disturbance in the force.

Chicks - What Chicks Wear?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Chicks like to pick apart what other chicks wear. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad. They rarely if ever do that to a chicks face but they will behind their back. I see it and hear it all of the time...well at least when I'm around chicks.  For the purpose of this post let's just pretend it's all of the time too.

"Can you believe she is wearing that"
"I like her clothes"
"She knows how to dress"
"I can't believe she is wearing mom jeans"
"She dresses like a ho"
"I can't believe that hoochie wears that"
"She has enough material to cover her booty and Ohio"
"She dresses like it's 1986"

I'm sure you've heard that stuff.  To their face you'll hear "Girl, you look good in that"...or "girl where did you find that?"  You know, the patronizing softball stuff.

Here's what guys think about chicks clothes:

"I wonder if she has a sister?"
"That's nice"
"Is she good in bed?"

That's about it really.  Chicks care, guys don't.  I sure don't...unless it's pajamas to the mall. That bugs me.  Well if they are dressed nice I notice sure, but I'm not going to comment.  Not important really.  I guess chicks got that part covered, to comment, judge and make remarks about clothing that is.

I wonder why that is?

Truth - Random Mindless Thoughts

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  People ask me how I come up with blog topics. I just write about whatever pops in my head.  I have a mental list in my head, then I just expand on each....if I remember.  I think about things, and if I remember I will start typing away about something.  More often than not though, I just forget about what I was thinking.  I spend much time trying to remember what I just forgot, then I don't spend time thinking about new things. It is a quite painful daily process. I don't know how I make it through the day quite frankly. I often think about how I get by with some many random acts of weirdness floating by in my head.  I am in awe of good writers who can expand on any given topic in the blink of an eye.  I though struggle with thoughts.

If I had a few more readers I may even be classified as artistic or creative.  Doesn't matter to me, because the labeling won't stop my thinking. My random thoughts of cluelessness.  Some chick said to me the other day she can't figure out how my mind works, that no one thinks like me.  She may be right, but I'm too busy watching the wheels go round and round...I just love to watch them go.  Merry go rounds are interesting would not you agree?  There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on the earth.  Now that's something to think about. I think.

Truth - On The Outside Looking In

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  There are certain days of the year that I just don't fit in. I never really have.  That's because I drinking isn't a focal point of my life.  Those days are St. Patrick's Day, Cinco De Mayo, New Year's Eve, and Thanksgiving Eve.

No I'm not against drinking.  I do have the occasional adult beverage and I'd love to own a vineyard.  I just don't care about bar hopping or just sitting around getting sloshed.  I do like company, and I do like to people watch.  I like doing that though all of the time though, not for a special occasion.  Does that make me dull?

I drove down the streets of my town and watched people drunk out of their mind on St. Patrick's Day.  They were wobbling, yelling, laughing, and having a good old time.  The ones I saw will probably forget most of the day anyways.

I'm not criticizing or mocking people for going out at all.  I've done it...it can be fun.  I just really don't get asked to go out much anymore anyways.  A friend did ask if I wanted to bar hop starting at noon on St. Patrick's Day.  It just didn't interest me at all.  The thought of feeling lousy the next day is never something I want feel again.  I do feel bad saying no...but what am I supposed to do, fake it?   Am I selfish for not wanting to be apart of the gang?   I don't want to be the odd duck, and I sure as heck don't like to be on the outs.

Like everything, I'm always looking for something more, than to just sit around and drink beer.  They say everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day...guess not me.

Truth: No Way Clooney!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  "George Clooney will be in Washington, D.C. to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about what he saw in Sudan; afterward, he will meet with Secretary Hillary Clinton and President Obama in the Oval Office" from NBC.

How do I get this gig? I have something to say to the Senate, to Secretary Clintax, and Potus. First off I'd say this:

Listen out of touch people, why the hell do you care what a Hollywood actor is saying to you? Seriously. Within the last two weeks 5 children under the age of 12 have been shot in the city of Detroit and we have to spend our time worrying about the Sudan. Tell me how that makes sense?  Awareness is good, tax dollars not so much.

You know it's a noble gesture that he goes there and wields his celebrity power. If he can save lives, that's great. I hope so. My point is, FIX YOUR BACKYARD FIRST. Fix your community first. The Government doesn't care what's going on there unless there is an immediate impact. hat's the truth.  And sorry George, the Sudan issue has nothing to do with the price of gasoline. The price of gasoline is more related to the value of the dollar being devalued by the liberal progressives you support and are meeting with their foreign policies, their artificial inflationary tactics are what destroys the economy.

I'm not knocking him for saving lives or bringing awareness to evil that exists; but geezus let's fix this country first people or we will be able to help no one. A strong America, a better America is good for the world. Throwing money at dictators or bombing Iran when our kids are getting killed makes no sense. It hasn't ever worked, and it doesn't work. Maybe he can tell Obama to stop throwing money at expensive dinner events and use that for the children of Sudan?  Maybe he can take his billion dollar campaign war chest and use that to help these people?  Good luck Clooney...they won't listen to you.  Don't forget he is a Nobel Peace Prize president and that should help.  Not.

I have the same problem with bible thumping missionaries who think it's God's calling to go overseas when their own neighborhoods are toast. It makes no sense. I know they mean well, but come on.

I truly hope something is done about the genocide in Sudan.  I am not knocking Clooney really at all...the media more so.  Then again, I am just fed up with the chaos in the world.  Nothing really makes sense.  I suppose if Sudan had the oil we needed something might get done.  I just don't understand the need to bomb Iran when this goes on, and people in your own hoods are dying.  I'm confused.

Liberty: You Should Be Livid

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  What has been bombarding the news lately is March Madness segments, and some chick from Desperate Housewives who is suing that show.   But but but did you hear about this?  Probably not. I mentioned it not to long ago, that there was a bill about to be passed that you can't protest near the Secret Service.

Well it happened.  The president signed the bill!  The Constitution has been shredded even more. Is there anything left of that rag?

Check it out, and please ignore the source.  I'm not a Fox News watcher but will always watch The Judge when I can: http://youtu.be/7SGWH3kirzg

Does anyone care anymore?

You hope and change idiots wanted this???

You went nuts when the previous guy was taking away some of your liberties, now this guy has gone even further and you've said NOTHING?  You will do nothing?  There's more of you democrats than anyone.  GET A CLUE.  Liberty doesn't care about your party.  Your party obviously does NOT care about you.

Progressives just want to keep the democratic party in power no matter what.  Just as the neocons want to keep the GOP alive no matter what.   Liberals and true conservatives be damned!

Here is the bill if you want to read it: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr347enr/pdf/BILLS-112hr347enr.pdf

Chicks: So Different

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Now it is no secret that men and women are for the most part  different.  Despite the societal push to make them the same on every level possible.  And whether you agree with that or not, biologically there seems to be differences at least.  We can all agree right?  Now this is not to say that men and women can't or shouldn't do the same things; that's not the intent of this.  The intent is to say, most chicks I know say that they are different than the next.

Years of being online, and discussing many things, I can tell you that there have been hundreds of times where a chick has messaged me offline to tell me how different they are.  They even will rat out or throw their best friend under the bus.  Surely they always will be critical of another not so close friend as well.  It is not mean spirited, nor is it meant to harm I think.  I believe it is just meant to show a connection, an understanding, a way of ruffling some feathers.

Yes I still get those who email me and say I should not use the word chick, but others who say it is cool.  Actually some of those who say it is cool and OK to use, also are the ones who say they are different than other chicks.  Some sort of coincidence I presume. I'm not sure.

So when chicks tell me they are different, it is all the same to me. I hate to burst their bubble, and I do realize everyone is unique...but when multiple people say the same thing, how is that really different?  It's like 10 people who walk in a room with flower tattoos.  The tattoos may be different, but they are still all flowers and still all tattoos.

[Side Note:  For those of you who havent noticed, the blog has a new look. I am still tweaking it and hope to add more graphics, and some spice soon.  There is also a donate button, if you are so inclined to throw some nickels this way.   People have been asking me to add some share buttons, and once they come out, I will put them up too.  Thank you for your devotion to this blog, for sharing it, for giving me your comments.  I do appreciate it.]

Chicks: Expert On Chicks

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I got this email stating I don't know a damn thing about women.  That I should stop writing about "chicks" and just stick to politics and sports. That is the only truth that I need to deal with.

Well I decided to list out all of the "CHICKS" posts from the last couple of years.  I've concluded that the person who wrote me is 100% correct.  In fact, I never stated otherwise.  I will though not stop writing about chicks should the notion in my head pop up.  Truth, Sports, Liberty, Chicks sounds much better than Truth, Sports, Liberty.

Liberty: Pink Meat

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  It is expected that 70% of all ground beef has "pink slime" in it. This is filler made from unused fat.  Now I don't eat red meat, but this pretty much makes me ill.  And and and the USDA (who is supposed to protect us) bought 7 million pounds for school lunches.

Do you feel safe now eating this stuff?

What are you going to do about it?

You see when you blindly trust the government, you are under the assumption that one or a group of people know exactly what the hell they are doing.  Not to mention, they know what is best for you. How can you trust them?  Would you readily eat pink slime if you knew about it?

It's grosser than gross of course.  What is even more gross, is the notion that they are protecting you, when clearly they are not.  Heck fast food companies won't use it (anymore), but your kids are eating this stuff in school lunches.

Another minor point is; you are getting ripped off!  You are buying meat and paying for meat and slime.  Nice!

Where's the beef???

Liberty: No More Blue Skies

Took this with my Droid X

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  I normally do not give any credence to conspiracy theories.  That is because usually all they are is just unanswered questions taken to a new level.   Just because you can't explain something, doesn't mean that any answer will do.  Questions though, are normal.  It's also possible the skeptical mind or the pessimist just has to choose that root.  There's a probability that the line of thinking that leads one to play the devil's advocate are the conspiracy theory folks.

If you keep a conspiracy theory just that, then it is OK....and sometimes just fun.  However if you just assume fact based on conspiracy theory then you are being intellectually dishonest.

Lately I've been hearing about chem trails. If you look to the sky you will see grids of white lines coming from planes.  You might ask yourself what the heck is going on?  You might just think nothing of it. You may not even notice.  Today I looked out and I've seen grids upon grids of these white lines in the sky.  These lines just spread out into a hazy cloud formations.  They cover the sky...so much so, that you can't see the deepest blue of the sky.  You don't see clouds.  You just see a haze.  When is the last time you saw a deep blue sky? When is the last time you saw big fluffy clouds?   Heck walk out at night and look up if you live near a big city and you will see chem trails lit by the moonlight?

So what is going on?  I can't tell you because I don't know. I'd like to know though.  I miss deep blue skies, and I don't like that haze.  I sure as heck would like to see some fluffy clouds too.  Do you know what is going on?  Do a search on chem trails and a ton of videos and websites come up. Many are credible.  However no one is really talking about this.  When they do, they think you are have a tin foil hat on.    Check out this video:  http://youtu.be/G9cQfcKR0EM

It could all be nothing, I just want an answer.  Can you tell me or point me in the right direction?

Sports - Hoopin It Up

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I used to follow the NBA when I was younger. I loved all the teams, the rivalries, the great players. There was something very cool about basketball of the 70s and 80s. Jabbar, Gervin, Magic, Bird, Pistol Pete, Sikma, Kiki, Dominique, Lanier, Tripucka, Dr. J, Chief, DJ, Rambis, Isiah, etc. Then when Michael Jordan came along...I lost interest. The way the league started to change did not interest me.

As a matter of fact most of my friends lost interest too. The entire David Stern era has pretty much been not good for the average sports fan. Or should I say old school sports fan. We tried and we wanted to follow it...but it just wasn't there. The egos of the players, the marketing of the slam dunk era was not worth watching. Hell it became a giant soap opera, a glorified wwf, and a rolling slam dunk competition.

I was raised on fundamental basketball where defense was key. Watching the NBA there are some defensive specialists, but for the most part it was all offense. Even with the lower scores, the defensive minded games were gone. At least I didn't see it. I stopped going to games. Occasionally I'd get a free ticket and go...but I tried not to fall asleep during the game. It was just not fun.

So my NBA knowledge does not come from watching games. It comes from sports radio and ESPN shoving it down my throat when I want no part of it. Yes I'll watch college, and I enjoy March Madness ..but the NBA...boring.

The other night I got some free tickets courtside to an NBA game. Wow! I had a blast. It was great hearing the players talk to each other. The power and the speed was amazing. Yes I even saw some defense. I guarentee though, if I was up higher I wouldnt have liked the game. It was cool. $250 seats, free parking, and all you can eat food before the game, plus dessert at halftime, and all the drinks you want after the game. If I could go to every game like that, I would be a fan. If I could have the television show the game from court level, I'd like it. The view from above does not work for basketball.Do they have a fan back? Well if I get more tickets to courtside, I am there. Damn that carrot cake was delicious!

Truth: Curiously Curious

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it hasn't killed me - yet let's hope not, because then you'd have nothing here to read.

When I see a car accident I always look. When I hear fire engine sirens or police sirens I tend to look to see them fly by.I even look when I hear a muscle car go by. Although I try not to let the driver see me look, because that's exactly what he wants!

When I walk through parking lots I look inside cars just to see what people have. I like to see if they are messy, or neat I look to see if they are smokers, slobs, fast food eaters. I look to see if there is pet hair or gum wrappers. I don't stop and look in the car, I just peak from car to car and take a look. Fun stuff.

When I walk down the street I will look in people's homes and see how they decorate. I like to see what they are watching on television. I look to see if their houses are outdated or not. What kind of stuff they own, the art on the walls. That sort of thing. I don't stand there or veer in, I just naturally look. It's like second nature. I don't set out to do it, it just happens.

Does that count as being a voyeur? I am not looking at people, just things. If I see a person, I won't look. That's kinda creepy.I just look for ideas and I am curious to see things. Is there anything wrong with that? Do you look? Do you watch? Are you curious?

I like to watch.

Liberty: People On The Street

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The other day I saw this interview on the news with "people on the street". It was regarding which political candidates to vote for. It was like watching something from the 1950s. It was like I was watching some Cold War propaganda documentary or listening to some southern preacher go on about some god fearing blah blah blah. I just could not believe it.

These people were saying that they supported so and so all because of social issues. They were all saying that the world is going to hell in a hand basket more or less because people have no values. That people have no morals. That people need the government to fix things. That the reason we have lost our way is because we need more programs, family values, etc all done by the government. I could not believe what I was listening to. My mouth dropped.

I was yelling at the television..."please don't vote!". What is wrong with people who think this way? What is wrong with people who can't think for themselves? What logic is used to keep throwing money at something when it does not or cannot work. It never has, so why try now?

I don't want the government teaching or providing moral legislation. Nor should you. That is not going to fix things. I've been beating my head against the wall most of my adult life at this stuff. It has not gotten better. People are just way too out of touch to care, but mostly to understand.

Leave people alone. Let the markets decide things. Let families, church's, organizations, educators work on the social stuff. Don't let the politicans teach or control you. It doesn't work!

You people on the street just don't understand. I don't know why your brains function like that do, but I'm convinved there is some human element or deficiency that plays perfectly into be ruled by socialism. It has to be. Can so many people be that dumb? Obvioulsy it has NOTHING to do with political party either.

Truth: Close Clothes

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
I have quite a bit of clothes.
I have more clothes than I wear.
I have clothes that don't fit anymore.
I have this rule that I hever pay more than $20 for a dress shirt.
I have clothes I keep for sentimental reasons.
I have hockey jerseys I probably won't wear ever again.
I have concert tshirts sitting in a box for no reason.
I have clothes that I donate every year to the Salvation Army.
I have clothes that I like to wear that are faded and torn.
I won't wear pajamas out in public.
I've been told that men who use umbrellas are women.
I don't see the point of winter vest jackets.
I have clothes that are brand new that I have never worn.
I have shirts that people make fun of.
I never liked the grunge look.
I don't get robes.
I have shirts that I don't like and people like me to wear.
I wish people dressed like clowns more often.
I have this notion that talking about clothes is a complete waste of time.
I have this rule that I never pay more than $15 for a t-shirt.
I always try to be shirts that are wrinkle free.
I don't like to iron shirts.
I never take my shirts to the cleaners, I can't justify the cost.
I wish Fedoras weren't considered pimp wear.
I find men who wear baseball caps to parties, holidays, weddings, funerals, & bars lame.
I don't like North Face anything.
I have this rule that I never pay more than $30 for a pair of pants.
I can't stand shirts with brand logos on them.
I don't like to wear polo shirts ever.
I know a guy that won't wear the same shirt in a month.
I like nice clothes on me, but could care less what others wear. I'm selfish like that.

A.D.D. Rumblings No.30612

1. The other day there were two guys in the rest room both in separate stalls, reading the paper...and talking to each other about the news of the day. What's the point?

2. I am reluctantly hooked on Storage Wars.  Not so much the show, but the thought of actually going to an auction intrigues me.

3. I keep ripping my contact lenses that I have on. In fact I'm typing this with one eye closed until I replace it.  Arrgh....I'm blogging like a Pirate...arrrgh!

5. I get more and more annoyed with the mainstreamed media.  Their bias, their editorial comments, their focus on unimportant things, drives me bonkers.

4. I would like a greenhouse. I'd would grow thyme. I'd like to have too much thyme on my hands.

6. I'd like to open a dog sledding service on wheels. Transporting people to the grocery store and stuff like that.  A dog taxi service.  Probably have this stuff in the snow states...but I mean all year long.

7. Still searching for the perfect vespa. If you see one, hook me up.

[This blog is brought to you by the word zilch and the number 0]

8. I'm going to invent a bacon vending machine filled with bacon products.  I will put them in rest areas and truck stops.  I shall call it Cravin Bacon.

9. Almost bought an 11lb jar of Nutella. Still thinking about it.  Talk me into it.

10.I am going to come out with a study that says "A study today reports that there are way too many studies that contradict each other and use the word may too often".

Truth - Pulling Tractor

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  The one and only Aaron Childs took this pretty cool video n his 1939 Ford  tractor, while going across the Mackinac Bridge last summer.  Yes THE bridge connecting the lower and upper penninula of Michigan.  Just so you know, vehicles have been blown off the 5 mile suspension bridge due to high winds too!

So what is the tractor drive across the bridge all about?  Aaron shared this with me:

The Mackinaw Bridge Antique Tractor drive was started four years ago as a joint project by the village of Mackinaw City, the city of St. Ignace, The Mackinaw Bridge Authority, and Owosso Tractor Supply Company.  To be able to do the bridge crossing, one must be a member of a known/established antique tractor club not only in Michigan, but in the region.  There was 820 tractors that took place in the tractor drive this year.  The clubs are randomly placed in order, and the first eight chosen get to parade through the street of Mackinaw before they go over the bridge.
All the tractors assemble at an old quarry west of the village of Mackinaw.  Just outside of the village limits, the groups that parade through town break off and head through town, while the rest of the tractors head to the bridge.  After they cross the bridge, the tractors exit I-75, and head through the streets of St. Ignace before ending up at the Kewadin Casino.  The tractors are then lined up in the parking lot of the casino for people to see.

Pretty cool to have been a part of it...at least indirectly.

Liberty: No Free Parking

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The other night I decided to watch a television show called Parking Wars.  I've heard about it, and never really watched it.  Wow, what a piece of work!  Talk about watching a train wreck.

People in Philly or Detroit park their cars in illegal zones, or have too many parking tickets...so the Parking Authority goes around and issues tickets, or places tow away boots on the wheels of the cars.  Needless to say, the owners of the cars are very upset and try to avoid or argue with the "Authority" to not get issued a violation.  Then if their car is towed away, they have to go pay the $300 or so to get their car back from the impound. What a racket.

I have always had an issue to pay for parking. I just don't see the logic.  I don't care about adding revenue to a city.  I want private services.  Yes I'd pay for private services, but to pay to go park now...well it doesn't seem right to me.  I avoid certain cities if I have to pay for parking.  When I put coins in a meter, I immediately think that the money goes to pay for the meter maid's salary.  Isn't that wacked?  If I'm already in a city..I am there buying food, shopping, doing civic duty, working for a company already making money.  So why do I have to get dinged twice?

The show tries to paint the Parking Authority in a good light.  To me, it exposes the absurdity of it all.   In Brooklyn, NY recently a woman was ticketed because she had her leg on another chair. She hurt her leg, but the cop issued her a ticket, and threatened to arrest her [Read more here] . Absurd.

Parking Wars or cops patrolling the subway to get their quota really makes me sick.  If people didn't have to pay for this stuff, they'd have more money in their pockets to spend on purchasing goods and services.  Do you get that?  Nothing worse than robocops issuing tickets for the sake of generating revenue.

Let their be Free Parking!

Truth - Out Of Fashion

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Even though you may not be a person who follows fashion; a fashionista, or a person who cares about trends and styles...you still notice.   You still notice what is the latest trends on what people wear.  You might not care about what people wear or what you wear, but you notice eventually.

You notice because movies, TV, friends, family all give a glimpse of what is the "norm".  When I watch a movie, I always look at cars in the background to get a good idea of when it was taken.  Not time piece movies, but real time movies.  You can tell by looking at someone with a mullet that it was probably in the 80s.  You can easily spot a chick with 80s hair.  When you see neon clothes or Miami Vice type wear, you know it is the 80s as well.

You know what the grunge look is (I hated that by the way).  You know what 50's, 60s, and 70s trends and fashions were.  You can look at someone and say "Hey 1986 called and they want their neon aqua blue shirt back", because you just know.  You may not know today what the deal is, but in 10 years people will say man that is so 2012.

The same applies to any other aspect of pop culture.  Nothing new here, people for the most part are taught threw conversations, history, television etc what was popular and when.  I am curious to know if you think about what is hot today or the norm will be noticeable 10 or 20 years from now.  Are you aware of what is what today?   I don't think it is important, because back in the 90s, or 80s etc, you probably weren't thinking what will be the next trend, or what will be outdated.  I'm sure we will laugh at blogs someday, laugh at Iphones, laugh at GPS units etc.  I just don't think anyone notices that type of thing when you are in the now.  Not that they should, but I just find it interesting.

Truth: Live With Intention

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  When popular people die such as celebrities, people immediately comment on how young they were.  When Davey Jones of the Monkees died at the age of 66 or Whitney Houston at 48 much was made about how young they were. And rightfully so too.  We expect people to live long lives.  Nothing really out of the ordinary there naturally.

It's more acceptable for someone to die in their 80s and up these days then any other age. Obviously life is not fair and when someone dies at at young age it's a horrible thing to witness. I don't know what is the true acceptable age to die is actually; it's just easier to accept when old age is the reason.

The common theme or sentiment too is that one should live their life to the fullest because you never know when you will kick the bucket.  That you should seize the moment, and seize the day.  I'm not against that sentiment, but it does make me thing about things.

What does living your life to the fullest really mean, and how can you actually do it?  How do you know when you've tried your best, or achieved the most?  They say when you are old you can finally be at peace with yourself, and realize that you did all you could, the best you could. I'm not there yet.  I don't feel I did the best I could, and I'm not at peace with myself. I can easily say I'm not ready to die from that perspective. Then again who ever really is?

I saw a sign the other day, that said "Live With Intention".  I repeat it often.  It probably is the single most important thing I want to do, yet fail to do more often than not.  I don't know what living life to the fullest is. I don't know what seizing the day really means.  I do know what living with intention is.  I think seizing a moment is just a part of that.  However overall, intention has to be the grand design of it all.  The most important thing of all.  Do you live with intention?

Truth: Inspiration Point Kissing

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  The other night on the news there was this story, an investigative story no less.  Wait, aren't they all investigative stories?  Yeah they are.  So anyways this story was about couples who park their cars and get it on, kiss, etc.  The news team would sit in unmarked cars and videotape people in their own vehicles getting busy and stupid.

Now I ask you, is this really a news piece?  I was like really?  So what?  Who cares?  OK the crux of the report was that there was a bus stop nearby.  That's fine, keep that away from kids. I get it.  So what do they do? They don't really report the story...they give their opinion that it is wrong, that it shouldn't happen, that it's outrageous behavior and that there is no place for that.

Then of course they interview the local police chief or sheriff (I forget which) and he gives his two cents on how that's so wrong blah blah blah.  The Moral Police always have to chime in.  That being cops, reporters, people getting interviewed etc.   Put the microphone in some one's mouth, or out the story on TV then immediately they turn off their brain.

Really?  I.E. here nothing better to do than worry about this stuff?  People don't have jobs...people are hungry...education is a mess...our liberties are being taken away from us daily, and the main story is people playing tonsil hockey in an El Camino.  Come on!  I know kissing is more fun for sure.

It's nothing short of sensationalism, and a complete waste of time and resources when you think about it.  The TV will probably do a follow up, because that will help the ratings, then those involved will spend more time hunting the fornicators, fining them, arresting them, and making the world a a much safer place, not to mention prudish.  Out come the preachers.

You know, the right wing nut jobs, the social conservatives, the Santorum cult who want to legislate human behavior and morality love this kind of stuff.  They will blame Obama, and try to get more funding (taxes are immoral FYI) to support programs and laws that eliminate liberty to appease their morality.

Yeah it's a whacked up world when you can't drive up to some Inspiration Point like the Fonz and mash with your chick.
