It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I watch The Today Show. Some people are Fox watchers, some are Good Morning America people etc. I don't really watch the Today show, but I have it on in the background. There is a small window of time where I listen to the headlines, and get the weather. I've been listening/watching that show for over 20 years I think. Way too long obviously.
I have to tell you, I do feel like I get dumb having it on. It is very painful, their routine. To hear "here's what's happening in your neck of the woods" or listen to a Smuckers birthday barrage isn't my idea of fun.
It is painful to hear the same thing over and over. Like a bad song. Here is the thing. I don't really hear what they say on the news. I hear how they say it. I hear how they pick and choose liberal talking points, and I laugh. I hear how they pick and choose what not to say. I hear their softball question interviews.
Their narcissism self love of their hosts is annoying. How they try to make each person reach out to the audience with head tilts and personal stories. Each host has dealt with some demon in the past, or a sickness or tragedy. It becomes mind numbing. Who the hell cares? The sheep do. That's who.
Yeah if you can't see the propaganda, mind numbing, dummying down of America at the hands of large media, you are blind. I am not saying that they are trying to brainwash you. I am saying they are playing to the EMOs out there with the same nauseating celebrity divorce and fear based stories etc.
Most if not all magazines have 25 stories. The magazine "news" shows do the same playlist of 25 stories. They bring in cooks, they talk about a movie, they talk about the Royal Family, they talk about the Kennedys. They latch on to some celebrity in trouble and put that in rotation. They feature a music artist from years past. They bring back an old TV show celebrity. It's all the same stuff over and over. And and and they tell you how scared you must be for the latest flu.
I am on to you Today Show. You make me laugh.

Diversity for the sake of diversity (not to improve anything, just to say you have a brother/sister, latino one the job) and everybody gets a trophy. (doesn't matter that you suck at anything/everything, you all deserve a trophy) Merit is now a bad thing.
