It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Speed and power. I dig them.
Watching airplanes, jets, helicopters have always fascinated me.
Watching trains, boats, ships, warships, and freighters have always fascinated me.
Watching cars, racing, muscle, classic, sports, and luxury cars have always ffascinated me.
Heck I like steamships, olds trains, electric trains, trolleys.
I'm not a gear head by any means. I can get dirty, change plugs, oil, breaks, a radiator, and do a bunch of other basic engine stuff (pre computer engines mind you)...but I'm not a nut.
I don't care for NASCAR, but I appreciate the speed. I love Formula One, but I rarely watch it. I have a soft sport for Indy Cars, but can live without it.
I just am in awe at transportation and all the power that it brings. We take these things for granted, but I don't. Sometimes I wish I was a gear head or more of an aficionado of sorts. I just know, I'd be broke if I pursued these endeavors. I recognize the sickness and appeal of following these interests...so I stay away.
I call that self control. Hell, who am I kidding. I'm in denial...I feel the need, the need for speed!
