Truth - Compulsive Nuts

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. There might be some scientific explanation for why people have to be control freaks. I am not talking about having things in control, but to control them.

You know the OCD type who have to clean their desk 10 times a day. The ones who have to wash their hands all of the time. The ones who need to vacuum their carpet a certain way. Everyone knows one of these people in their lives.

Why do they do it? Out of fear maybe? Fear of the unknown? Fear that lies in the hope. The hope that if something isn't set a certain way, chaos will happen or some wrong doing. OCD must tie in with superstitious thinking. It has to.

I used to have some game day rituals that were a bit compulsive. I had to have my routine done in the same way every single time. If there were any disruption to the routine...well bad luck would ensue.

Nuts. Clean and neat freaks...cool. OCD and superstitious types...not so much. Lighten up.

I wonder if OCD types, and I'm just guessing here suffer from some narcissism? Some need to have their world the center of it all and perfect.
